A project to extend and improve the turning basin near Town Green Park is underway and expected to be complete by the second quarter of 2017, according to The Woodlands Development Company. The project involves replacing the existing guardrail and adding a boardwalk on the lower portion along the water’s edge, which will connect the walkways with three fountains and two sets of stairs. Seating, landscaping and lighting will also be added. However, the turning basin walkway will be closed through Feb. 2 for construction. The Development Company is overseeing the construction, design and planning of the project, which is being funded by the Town Center Owners Association.
