Dec. 22-24: Santa's Wonderland
For the ninth year, Santa's Wonderland transforms Bass Pro Shops into a holiday experience with rustic Christmas cabins, animated holiday characters, interactive talking caribou and live elves set among snow-covered hills, illuminated Christmas trees and an arctic sky. The Christmas village offers remote control trucks, a laser arcade and a foam toy arcade. Families can also spend time at one of the activity tables where they can write a letter to Santa Claus and make Christmas decorations and handmade crafts to take home. Dec. 22-23: The Christmas Train
Victory Camp and Living Stones Church invite the public to take an old-fashioned train ride through a winter wonderland of more than 300,000 lights and Christmas displays. The event also includes 279 trees wrapped in lights, 5 miles of extension cord and requires several thousand hours for setup. 6:30-9 p.m. (Dec. 16-23). Dec. 22-23: Froberg Farms Presents First Annual Holiday Festival

Dec. 22: Book sale
The Friendswood Public Library will host the last day of its winter book sale on Dec. 22 to encourage reading this holiday season.
