1. FM 1097 maintenance
The Texas Department of Transportation will overlay FM 1097 with new asphalt between Bethel Road and Hwy. 149. The project will also add shoulders on each side of the highway.

2. FM 1488 overpass
Work on a project to widen FM 1488 from two to four lanes from FM 149 to just past Community Road is ongoing. The project also includes construction of a railroad overpass on FM 1488 near the FM 149 intersection over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks, making it possible for commuters to cross the railroad tracks without interruption. Construction on the project has reached 50 percent completion.

3. FM 3083 railroad overpass
The TxDOT project has already widened FM 3083 from I-45 to the starting location of the overpass bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, and the project will continue to widen the road from the start of the bridge to Stewarts Creek. The project has reached 22 percent completion and is expected to take about two years to finish.

4. Hwy. 105 maintenance
TxDOT is overlaying Hwy. 105 with new asphalt between Flagship Boulevard to just west of Plantersville Road in Montgomery. Crews have finished 95 percent of the project.

5. Hwy. 105 beautification project
The city of Conroe started construction on a Hwy. 105 improvement project Oct. 10. The project will add a raised median throughout the roadway from I-45 to Frazier Street. Crews will also replace the wire traffic signals with mast arm traffic signals. Additionally, the project includes construction of new sidewalks along the roadway and a retention pond at the southeast I-45 intersection.

6. I-45 landscape project
TxDOT is undertaking a landscape project along the I-45 corridor from the northern Montgomery County line to I-10 in Harris County. The project is about halfway complete and is expected to take about four more months.
