2. Several organizations in The Woodlands and Montgomery County are in need of volunteers this holiday season. The Salvation Army has a variety of volunteer opportunities, such as ringing the bell for the Red Kettle campaign and donating gifts for the Angel Tree Program.

3. The Woodlands Township last week voted to accept a donation from The Woodlands Development Company of a piece of the community’s history. The township will receive the large surface model display of The Woodlands and photo boards that were housed in the former Homefinder Center off Woodlands Parkway. The board also voted to use $50,000 from the cultural arts fund to pay for costs associated with moving, storing and installing the displays at a location in Town Hall.
