- Montgomery County Commissioners Court meeting
County commissioners will meet Tuesday morning and will canvass the results of the Nov. 8 election. The court will also consider showing support for a proposal from the Texas Department of Transportation that would rename the Grand Parkway to Mayor Bob Lanier Memorial Parkway after the former Houston mayor. In a special session the court will also discuss the employment and duties of the potential Montgomery County Animal Shelter director. The court meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Montgomery County Administration building at 501 N. Thompson St., Conroe. www.mctx.org
- Thanksgiving feast
The Friends of Conroe host a Thanksgiving Day event at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center at 9333 Airport Road, Conroe. - Holiday donations
Conroe's Incredible Pizza Co. partnered with the Salvation Army to host an Angel Tree. Residents interested in donating a gift to the Salvation Army to help families in need can pick an angel from the tree and return a gift by Dec. 12 to Incredible Pizza Co. at 230 S.
