Transportation Updates November

1. Cheek Sparger road upgrades

Work began the week of Oct. 24 to rehabilitate, widen and resurface Cheek Sparger Road from Brown Trail to Bedford Road in Colleyville. Crews will begin to place asphalt in mid-November. During construction traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction, and the center turn lane is closed.

2. SH 121/SH 360 Interchange

In November crews will perform work on the new bridge that will take traffic from northbound SH 360 to northbound SH 121 in Grapevine. Crews will also perform foundation work and begin column construction on the new bridge that will take traffic from northbound SH 360 to westbound SH 114. Dirt work along northbound SH 121 will also be done as well as installation of pipe along portions of SH 360 and SH 121.

3. FM 1938 Phase 2

Construction continues on the widening of FM 1938 in Southlake from Randol Mill Avenue to FM 1709. A recent traffic switch at the intersection of FM 1938 and FM 1709 moved traffic to the outside lanes of the intersection to allow for work to begin on the center medians.  A new plan will accelerate construction at the intersection to be substantially complete by the end of 2016.  Crews continue to reconstruct the new southbound lanes between Fawkes Lane and Florence Road.
