Buda City Council meets Nov. 7.
Buda City Council postponed its regularly scheduled meeting, which would have been Nov. 1, to Nov. 7. On the agenda are items related to a new park to be located on Garison Road, a zoning change to a 1.7-acre property at 835 Main St., Buda, and updates on projects related to the city’s 2014 bond.
Early voting has ended. Election Day is Nov. 8.

The Nov. 8 Hays County Commissioners Court meeting has been cancelled.
Commissioners will not meet on Tuesday. Their next meeting will be Nov. 15.
San Marcos Planning & Zoning Commission meets Nov. 8.
The commission will discuss approval of a preliminary plat—a document designating a development’s layout—for 85.07 acres in the Kissing Tree subdivision at the intersection of Hunter and Centerpoint roads.
The commission will also discuss issuing a permit for the city’s first “escape room” to be opened at 700 N. LBJ Drive, San Marcos. According to the agenda packet, an escape room is a business in which “teams of people (2-10) work to solve puzzles and games in order to 'escape' a room in a certain amount of time.”
The Hays CISD Education Foundation Gala is Nov. 12.
The Denim & Diamonds Gala takes place Saturday at the Texas Disposal Systems Exotic Game Ranch, 1508 Carl Road, Creedmoor. The event will feature a live and silent auction, live music and food.
