Community members interested in the improvement of Austin ISD schools can attend the Building Bridges #AISDFuture Town Hall, hosted by AISD in collaboration with the city of Austin and the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. The Town Hall will focus on the district’s Facilities Master Plan and give attendees the opportunity to learn about the planning process. AISD Superintendent Paul Cruz, Mayor Steve Adler and officers from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office will be on-site to answer questions. The Facilities Master Plan will outline the conditions of facilities and guide the development of capital projects to improve buildings and infrastructure, according to an AISD news release. Attendees are encouraged to provide input on how to reinvent the urban school experience. The event will take place at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex, 1156 Hargrave St., Austin, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5. More information is available at www.aisdfuture.com.
