Friday, Oct. 21: Pearl Theatre presents "Eurydice"

Pearl Theatre, which was established by the Pearland Theatre Guild, celebrates the opening night of its rendition of Eurydice, a 2003 play that retells the classic myth of Orpheus, the ancient Greek prophet, poet and musician, through the eyes of his wife, Eurydice. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22-23: Wings Over Houston Airshow

The Commemorative Air Force Wings Over Houston Airshow, which is in its 32nd year, is a staple in the Bay Area and Greater Houston. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels returns to perform one of the top airshows in the country, showcasing vintage World War II aircraft alongside their modern counterparts. The show is put on every year through a nonprofit with the help of Houston Wing, Gulf Coast Wing and Tora! Tora! Tora! of the Commemorative Air Force along with the support of the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, the Texas Flying Legends Museum, Collings Foundation-Houston and the Vietnam War Flight Museum. 8 a.m.-5p.m. $28 (adult) and $4.50 (child). The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church hosts its annual fall festival, Harvest Fest, featuring a pumpkin patch, art show, pony rides, bounce house, vendor market, art show, food trucks and more.
