The city of Cedar Park is moving forward with plans to construct a right-turn lane before the 1890 Ranch shopping center.
During an Oct. 13 meeting, Senior Engineer Leon Sparks said the dedicated right turn lane would run from westbound Whitestone Boulevard into 1890 Ranch's easternmost entrance, in front of Rosa's Café & Tortilla Factory.
The turn lane is a capital improvement project from fiscal year 2015-16, and the Community Development Corporation, or 4B Board, provided funding for the project.
During the meeting, Cedar Park City Council approved an agreement to allow the city manager to execute a contract with A Status Company for an amount not to exceed $127,852.50.
Sparks said construction on the turn-lane is estimated to start in November, and construction could last about 60 days.
