Native Plant Week

The third week in October marks Native Plant Week in Texas and the Williamson County Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas is encouraging citizens to learn about and plant native species.

Georgetown ISD School Board Meeting

Georgetown City Vendor Fair
Oct. 20


The City of Georgetown Purchasing Department is hosting the fair for business owners to find out more about the city’s process of accepting bids, proposals and qualifications for doing business with the city.

Business owners in all different fields including graphic design, road construction, plumbing and landscaping are encouraged to attend.

Hops for Hounds
Oct. 20


Friends of the Georgetown Animal Shelter will host the Hops for Hounds event at Rentsch Brewery. The event features beers from the local brewery and food from Sweet and Cheesy food trailer. Only 120 tickets are available an admission fees benefit the Georgetown Animal Shelter.

Tickets are available online at friendsofgtownshelter.org/hops-for-hounds and at the Animal Shelter at 110 Walden Drive (across from McMaster Athletic Fields).

Balloon Release

St. David's Georgetown Hospital is hosting a balloon release to raise awareness for breast cancer on Friday. All proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas.

Dino Day
Oct. 22


Dinosaur Day at Champion Park features performances, an inflatable playhouse and learning on the parks play areas and trails.
