Harris County Toll Road Authority is widening the Hardy Toll Road to three lanes in both directions from FM 1960 to the Grand Parkway. Work began in 2015, and officials said the project is about 70 percent complete, with construction expected to last until early spring 2017. The widening includes the construction of full shoulders and an interchange at the Grand Parkway.

1. Woodland Hills Drive extension
Design has commenced on the extension and expansion of Woodland Hills Drive. Phase 1 of the project will expand the roadway to four lanes from Beltway 8 to Eagle Ridge Elementary School, where the road currently ends. During Phase 2, a new roadway will be constructed between Eagle Ridge Elementary and Woodland Path Drive. Phase 2 also includes a bridge over Williams Gully.

2. Timber Forest Drive widening
Harris County Precinct 2 partnered with Woodmere Developers to widen Timber Forest Drive to four lanes between Will Clayton Parkway and Canyon Lands Drive in Atascocita. An additional two-lane concrete boulevard will be constructed during the project.

3. West Lake Houston Parkway/Will Clayton Parkway corridor improvements
Construction is underway on a series of projects on or around West Lake Houston Parkway.
A. Fiber-optic cables will be installed to improve signal operations along Will Clayton Parkway between Atascocita Road and West Lake Houston Parkway. B. A second left-turn lane will be added for northbound traffic to turn westbound onto FM 1960 from West Lake Houston Parkway. C. A new traffic signal will be constructed at the intersection of June Forest Drive and Will Clayton Parkway.

4. West Lake Houston Parkway expansion
Friendswood Development Co. constructed the expansion of West Lake Houston Parkway from Mills Branch Drive to the border between Harris and Montgomery counties. The project expanded the roadway from two to four lanes to accommodate for increased traffic due to a new housing subdivision in the area. It will be open to the public after approval from the city of Houston.
