According to data provided by the Austin Board of Realtors, single-family home sales dropped in the cities of Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto in July 2016.

According to ABOR,

  • Round Rock home sales decreased 13.1 percent year-over-year to 192 home sales, while median home price rose 0.8 percent to $232,813.

  • Pflugerville home sales decreased 10.2 percent year-over-year to 106 home sales, while median home price rose 14.6 percent to $234,890.

  • Hutto home sales decreased 14.1 percent year-over-year to 67 home sales, while median home price rose 10.8 percent to $200,000.

"The value of Central Texas real estate has continued to increase, which is good news for homeowners, but those rising prices could start to have a cooling effect on sales volume in the market amidst growing affordability challenges," said Aaron Farmer, 2016 president of ABOR, in a statement.
