The McKinney Police Mounted Unit patrols downtown McKinney and surrounding areas.[/caption] The McKinney Mounted Patrol Support will host a fundraiser for the McKinney Police Mounted Unit at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at Tupps Brewery, 721 Anderson St., McKinney. The funds will be used to purchase new tack and saddles for the horses, and to put together an emergency fund for unexpected expenses such as veterinary care. Tickets are $50 in advance and include dinner by III Forks Steakhouse and a dessert by Spoons Cafe. Tupps will also be offering beer for $5 per glass.
