Sprinkles Cupcakes is headed to Austin with plans to open a bakery in Domain Northside before Christmas, satisfying any local sweet tooth with its famous cupcakes, cookies and ice creams. “We are thrilled to make our Austin debut in Domain Northside with homemade cupcakes, cookies and ice cream,” said Candace Nelson, founder and judge on Food Network’s "Cupcake Wars," said in a news release. “I am also excited to announce our location will feature a cupcake ATM to satisfy late-night sugar cravings 24/7.” The Domain Northside bakery, opening in November at 3210 Palm Way, Ste. 100, Austin, will also feature a cupcake ATM stocked 24/7 and has the capacity to hold 800 cupcakes.   1. Sprinkles Austin Sprinkles Cupcakes is most known for starting the cupcake bakery craze. Its other treats include cookies and ice creams.[/caption] Cupcakes Available in more than 50 different flavors, these are Sprinkles’ signature treat. Flavors include banana, chai latte, dark chocolate and red velvet. At the end of the day, Sprinkles will donate leftover cupcakes to an area food bank.
  2. Ice cream Slow-churned and made with organic dairy, Sprinkles’ ice cream can be served in a waffle cone, in a sundae or topped with housemade sauces and toppings. Flavors include vanilla bean, coffee, salty caramel and butter pecan. Other treats will include nondairy sorbets, malts, shakes, root beer floats and the Sprinkles Sandwich, which features two cupcakes tops with a scoop of ice cream.
  3. Cookies These treats start with European-style butter and Madagascar bourbon vanilla. Cookie options will include chocolate chip, oatmeal and peanut butter.
Sprinkles has 20 locations in the U.S., including in Dallas and Houston. Additionally, Sprinkles plans to relocate its warehouse from Los Angeles to Dallas before opening the Austin location.
