The Blue Giraffe coffee shop opened in early 2015 and features 40 flavors of coffee, including cold blended beverages based on popular desserts.
The red velvet frappe ($3.99) blends slow-drip coffee with a red velvet chocolate flavor, topped with whipped cream and Oreo crumbles.
The beverage starts with the cafe’s cold toddy—a cold-brewed espresso that takes 20 to 22 hours to prepare.
“It’s a smooth coffee because of the time that it processes,” owner Rhonda Schwob said.
Several other popular blends of cold coffee beverages at the shop include peaches and cream, green tea, caramel and vanilla.
“All the iced coffees are popular in the summer,” Manager Jon Fry said.
The Blue Giraffe serves breakfast and lunch, and hosts open mic nights on Thursdays and Fridays.
