The Conroe Police Department relocated to its new headquarters July 21.

The department and Conroe Municipal Court relocated to a 71,000-square-foot facility at 2300 Plantation Drive, Conroe. The facility offers improved technology for the department’s forensics team, a new dining area, upgraded gym equipment and a larger space for the SWAT team, CPD Sgt. James Waller said.

“The city has grown, so we needed more space in order to function better,” Waller said. “We had also outgrown our old facility.”

Waller said the municipal court was given more space and new office equipment, such as computers, printers and fax machines. The new facility will also allow for future expansion of the court and the department with additional office space available for staff.

“Since the area has grown so much, the municipal court needed more space and better equipment in order to better serve the area,” Waller said.
