1. Huffmeister Road widening
The opening of a wider Huffmeister Road in Cypress has been delayed until the end of July, Harris County Precinct 3 officials said. Crews are widening a two-lane asphalt road to a four-lane concrete boulevard between Skinner Road and Meadowside Park Drive.

2. Grant Road widening
Harris County Precinct 4 is in the final design phase of a project that will widen Grant Road between Old Kluge and Spring Cypress roads in Cypress from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane concrete boulevard.

3. Hwy. 290 Project G
Two collector-distributor lanes opened July 15 along with a new entrance ramp from W. Little York Road and exit ramp to FM 529. The overall Project G involves widening Hwy. 290 mainlanes between W. Little York Road and FM 529. Drivers should expect traffic switches throughout the summer.

4. Huffmeister Road extension
Harris County Precinct 4 is about 50 percent of the way through the study phase for a proposed Huffmeister Road project that could entail extending the roadway from where it ends at Hwy. 6 south to West Road in Houston. The extension would be built as a four-lane concrete pavement section.
