Since making tickets available to the general public for the opening of The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco on June 20, Frisco ISD has sold more than 17,000 tickets. The grand opening event on Aug. 27, presented by Whataburger, will feature four games with all eight FISD varsity football teams divided into two sessions as part of an all-day celebration. The event will also include performances by FISD marching bands, cheerleaders and drill teams. More than 8,100 tickets have been sold for session 1 with 1,500 still available, and more than 9,000 tickets have been sold for session 2 with 600 still available as of July 12. FISD has also sold 875 season tickets, which include admission to The Ford Center grand opening. Tickets went on sale to FISD students, parents and employees on June 2, and nearly 10,000 tickets were sold before sales were opened to the general public.   • 9 a.m.: Independence High School vs. Reedy High School
  • 12:30 p.m.: Lone Star High School vs. Heritage High School
Session II
  • 5:30 p.m.: Wakeland High School vs. Liberty High School
  • 8:30 p.m.: Centennial High School vs. Frisco High School
Tickets for each session are $6 for students and $12 for adults. Tickets can be purchased online at www.dallascowboys.com/TheStarKickoff, tickets.friscoisd.org, or by using cash or credit at the FISD athletic office. The Star is the 91-acre development that will be home to the Dallas Cowboys World Corporate Headquarters. The Ford Center, The Star’s 510,000 square-foot indoor athletic facility, will be shared amongst the Dallas Cowboys, the city of Frisco and FISD.
