Kevin Hammeke, who came on board June 27 as the city's new finance director, abruptly resigned June 30. Hammeke told the city manager's office that he underestimated the workload.
Mark Holloway will again serve as interim chief financial officer while the city conducts a search for a director of finance. Holloway had been serving as interim chief financial officer since April following the departure of Rodney Rhodes, who served as CFO from August 2011 to February 2016.
Interim City Manager Tom Muehlenbeck said he has complete confidence in Holloway's ability to continue leading the city's Finance Department and is appreciative of the hard work, dedication and professionalism Holloway has demonstrated throughout his tenure.
