1. Hwy. 290 Project E

Construction on the direct connector between Hwy. 6 northbound and Hwy 290 eastbound in Houston is ongoing. The first overpass bridge structure was completed, and major utility relocations were wrapped up in June. Crews are now working on westbound frontage roads between FM 1960 and Huffmeister Road.

2. Louetta Road extension

Harris County is working to extend Louetta Road as a four-lane concrete boulevard from Blanco Trails Lane to Telge Road in Cypress. The project was published for bidding April 26.

3. Huffmeister Road widening

Work crews are widening a two-lane asphalt road to a four-lane concrete boulevard between Skinner Road and Meadowside Park. Due to continued flooding, the Cypress project will open around the end of June.

4. Hwy. 290 Project D

Construction to widen outbound Hwy. 290 mainlanes and construct new frontage roads between Telge and Mueschke roads is around 67 percent complete. TxDOT Officials hope to open the new roads in segments with the entire project open to drivers by the fall if weather permits. TxDOT projects mainlane entrances from Skinner and Spring Cypress roads will be open by the end of June.
