Partnering with the city of Austin, TxDOT is building a bicycle and pedestrian bridge along northbound Loop 1 lanes over the greenbelt near Loop 1’s intersections with Southwest Parkway and with

The Texas Department of Transportation will be gradually closing all southbound MoPac lanes near Loop 360 on May 16 for overnight demolition work on Loop 360.
Starting at 8 p.m., southbound MoPac traffic will be reduced to one lane at Loop 360, the southbound MoPac ramp to southbound Loop 360 will close, and the northbound inside lane on Loop 360 over MoPac will close.
Then at 10 p.m., all southbound MoPac lanes will close. The detour will direct drivers to the southbound MoPac frontage road for re-entry onto the mainlanes near the Barton Creek Greenbelt, according to TxDOT.
TxDOT spokesperson Kelli Reyna said drivers should plan ahead even if lane closures start at 8 p.m.
Construction workers will be demolishing part of the northbound Loop 360 bridge over MoPac for a widening project.
Construction may be completed by 5 a.m., but lanes may open earlier if work is finished early.
The bridge work was originally meant to happen May 16, but was delayed by rain. Reyna said the work may be delayed again to a later date if inclement weather occurs.
