Developers are turning dirt throughout Frisco. Some developments are for medical and retail use, and some are hotels within mixed-use developments. The following are some highlights for different commercial and residential projects coming soon.
This is a rendering of the first phase of the Independence Medical Park on Independence Parkway.[/caption]1. Independence Medical Park
On the northeast corner of SH 121 and Independence Parkway, phases 1, 2 and 3 of Independence Medical Park are under construction. Phase 1 includes three buildings with about 20,000 square feet of space. Phase 2 includes one building with six 13,000-square-foot units. Phase 3 is one building with about 8,000 square feet of space. The medical office park is expected to be finished by 2017.

Custer Bridges on 6111 Custer Road is under construction. The retail strip has 9,687 square feet of space. Construction began in early March and is expected to be completed this summer. The retail strip will include Chipotle Mexican Grill, Subway, an AT&T store and Mattress Firm.

Drury Inn & Suites is undergoing construction on the southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Gaylord Parkway. The nine-story hotel will have 182 rooms and suites and is expected to open in 2017. The hotel will feature a rooftop pool, a fitness center, meeting spaces and an outdoor observation patio.
4. Frisco Hotel Indigo
Frisco Hotel Indigo is under construction at 3150 Avenue of the Stars. The hotel broke ground in November and is expected to be finished by summer 2017. The six-story hotel will have 110 rooms and suites. The hotel will also include a new restaurant called Blacklands Bar & Grill.

Omni Hotel in Frisco is under construction in The Star in Frisco, a 93-acre development that will include the Dallas Cowboys world headquarters. The hotel will be connected to The Ford Center, the Cowboys’ multiuse events center. The 16-story hotel will have 300 rooms and suites and is expected to open in 2017. It will feature a fine-dining restaurant, a lobby coffee and wine bar, and a rooftop pool bar and grill.

Frisco Bridges office building will be ready for tenants to move in by May on the northeast corner of Dallas Parkway and Texas Rangers Drive. The six-story office building is 170,000 square feet and includes a covered parking garage with 1,000 parking spots, with some spots designated for the Drury Inn & Suites.

Phase 1 of the Teel Crossing Shopping Center is under construction at the northeast corner of Main Street and Teel Parkway. The 20,020-square-foot retail center includes restaurant and office space. Phase 1 is expected to be completed by May 1.
Phase 2 of the Teel Crossing Center will begin construction in 2017 with an expected opening in the fall. Phase 2 is on the northwest corner of Main Street and Teel Parkway. The retail center encompasses 19,183 square feet and includes retail, restaurant and office space.
