Nearly 40 short films made by high school and college students from throughout the world were viewed at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy’s first film festival.


The festival, directed by James Christopher Dziedzic, an independent filmmaker and the organizer of the Austin Revolution Film Festival, was held Feb. 27 in the school’s Gloria Delgado Performing Arts Theatre.


Awards were given in the categories of filmmaker of the year, best college film, best high school film, 2016 Crusader filmmakers of the year, best actor and best actress.
