One of California Pizza Kitchen’s most popular drinks is the California Roots, a drink made with Svedka vodka, fresh avocado and mint, and fresh agave sour with a fennel salt rim.

Will Lawson, hospitality manager at California Pizza Kitchen, said the unique drink, which costs $10.29, is sold consistently at The Woodlands restaurant as customers come back for more. Once a seasonal drink, the California Roots is now a full-time beverage option.

“Once people try it, they try it again,” Lawson said. “They get past the uniqueness of the avocado in it.”

In addition to serving made-to-order drinks, California Pizza Kitchen serves food with a California twist, offering a variety of pizzas, flatbreads, soups, salads and pastas. Happy hour is from 3-6 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m. to closing time Monday through Thursday. The restaurant in The Woodlands has been open since July.
