Stinky Dawg, a downtown San Marcos business offering self-serve and professional cleaning and grooming services for dogs, moved from 145 S. LBJ Drive to 151 S. LBJ Drive in April.

Ginny Smith, who co-owns the business with her husband, Scott, said the new location, which is 600 square feet larger than the previous facility, has expanded the business’s ability to serve clients. Previously, Stinky Dawg had limited space to hold dogs waiting to be washed. The new location has provided the business with more than enough space, she said.

“Christmas is our busiest time and for the holidays we were able to accommodate everybody, whereas [in 2014] we weren’t able to accommodate all the dogs,” Ginny said.

The business currently employs two professional groomers, and Ginny said Stinky Dawg might hire a bather in 2016.

Self-serve dog washes cost $10-$18 depending on the size of the dog.
