Since opening in August, Shanti Tree Yoga has expanded its classes and now offers workshops on the weekends, owner Shamron Johnson said.
Shanti Tree also offers private lessons and private group sessions for up to 19 people. Catering is available upon request for private sessions or parties.
The yoga studio also added discounted prices for new students, Johnson said. Shanti Tree offers classes for different needs and expertise levels, including beginners, strong practice, creative movement, restorative, sound meditation and yin classes.
Johnson said she places an emphasis on small class sizes to ensure that students receives personalized instruction for his or her individual needs.
The yoga studio can hold up to 20 people at a time, but Johnson said she prefers for classes to range from five to 11 students.
“Small classes help students get to know each other,” she said. “I want people to feel comfortable with each other when they’re taking classes.”
Eventually, Johnson would like to offer classes and services free of charge at parks or other public locations in the Cy-Fair area.
