Seth, his brother Chase Katz and their business partner, Benji Ackerman, hope to build on their success in 2016. The group will begin hosting live music at the Social Parlor, Pie Society’s in-house cocktail bar. There are also new menu additions in the works, including the recently christened Enlightenment pie, which features an olive oil base, Brussels sprouts, bacon, garlic, red onion, Parmesan cheese, fresh mozzarella and a honey balsamic reduction.

Pie Society plans to make happy hour a centerpiece of its 2016, Seth said. In addition to special pricing for pepperoni and cheese pizzas, the restaurant offers $10 draft beer pitchers, $3 draft pints and $3.50 cocktails from 3-6 p.m. daily.

Seth said the group has also submitted an application for a conditional-use permit at the building adjacent to their downtown bar, Zelick’s. If approved, the permit will allow the sale of beer and wine for on-premises consumption at the as-yet unnamed new business.
