Construction of Pflugerville ISD's High School No. 4 continues on schedule despite some “strange weather,” according to the contractor.
Joe Charlton, project director at American Constructors, the contractor on the high school, said construction crews are making progress.
“We do anticipate having some construction activities as you start school because of that compressed schedule,” Charlton said. “We don’t anticipate that having an effect on school activities in any way.”
Charlton said most of the utility work on the school is complete, and the building will start taking shape in the first quarter of 2016.
Darrell Pearson, principal at PBK, the architecture firm for the project, said there is a “plan B” if a weather event significantly delays the opening of High School No. 4. He said that plan would involve not finishing some classroom pods, but the exterior of the building would be complete.
