The city of Missouri City’s Citizens Volunteer Program allows residents to choose from a variety of volunteer-based projects. Available opportunities include assisting with the city’s crime watch program, the Citizens Response Team—which provides assistance in cases of emergencies—and environmental initiatives, such as helping plant trees and maintaining parks throughout the year. East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry Inc. is a nonprofit, charitable organization that is composed of an interfaith alliance that serves the basic needs of persons in temporary financial crisis in east Fort Bend County.
