What are the most popular aspects of your wellness program?

We have found that city of Sugar Land employees can be very competitive and are most engaged in sporting events and challenges. We have volleyball games once a week, and we also have an annual softball tournament made up of departmental teams that play for bragging rights.

Why is the program a good investment?

The city has had a wellness plan in place for more than 10 years. Our primary goal has been to improve the well- being of our employees and their families. We anticipate that as more employees participate, the overall health of our employees will improve. And we are confident that investing in our employees’ health and wellness will positively impact our bottom line.
