Customers can also choose home delivery or sign up for three kits per week starting at $35 per week. “[The store] gives us a physical presence in Austin because we’re one of the few meal-kit places local to Austin,” Amalaha said.” Each kit includes all the ingredients to create a meal in less than 30 minutes. “We’re trying to do all of the prep work,” she said. “… The meals are just good. They’re not complicated or small portions. It’s real home-cooked meals like grandma would serve.” Starting Oct. 22 she will offer weekly tastings on Thursdays. Amalaha plans to offer cooking classes in the store. “The best part is we get to talk one on one with customers,” Amalaha said. “We get great feedback. People want something more local and environmentally conscious.”
