Comfort Keepers, a caregiver service for seniors and the disabled, opened a Southwest Austin franchise on Aug. 17.
The company provides 24-hour personal caregiver services to the elderly, people with disabilities, patients recovering from surgeries and injuries, and new moms. Franchise Owner Travis Smith said staff can provide services at homes, hospitals, independent living facilities or “anywhere someone needs help.”
The Comfort Keepers Southwest Austin franchise, located at 706 W. Ben White Blvd., Bldg. B, Ste. 170B, serves Southwest Austinites and the downtown area, Smith said.

Rusty Buffalo Tattoo joined the Native South Food Park, at 10106 Manchaca Road, Aug. 9. Owner Rusty Buffalo said he does various styles of tattoo work, from traditional to modern. The parlor is unique because it is inside a vintage Airstream trailer, he said.
