Three St. David’s HealthCare employees received recognition for their work treating patients and communities, the health care system announced in March.


One physician, one staff member and one volunteer were each presented with a Frist Humanitarian Award.


The Frist awards are presented annually, and winners are nominated to the national Frist Award program.


In the physician category, St. David’s honored Dr. Andrea Campaigne, an OB/GYN physician at the St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas in Austin. Campaigne is a founding member of Doctors for the Cure, a program of Susan G. Komen Austin, and serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas.


In the employee award category,    St. David’s recognized Robert Guy, a pharmacy technician at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Guy, a Marine veteran, volunteers in the community and led a bicycle and toy drive last year.


In the volunteer category, St. David’s honored Kai Lin, a discharge and emergency department volunteer at Heart Hospital of Austin. Lin volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, teaches CPR classes at The University of Texas and coordinates fundraisers for Syrian refugees.
