Prior to joining the Magnolia Police Department, Enloe served 33 years with the Harris County sheriff’s department. Enloe began his career as a deputy in 1975 and worked in the roles of master patrolman, shift coordinator, sergeant, lieutenant, captain and major until his retirement in 2008.

Magnolia Mayor Todd Kana thanked interim Police Chief Charles Wedemeyer for his service to the city. From Nov. 25 until late April, Wedemeyer served in an interim role after former police chief Domingo Ibarra resigned from the department.

“We just want to thank you because we were in a pinch,” Kana said. “You brought stability at a time when we needed it and held things together. We appreciate you being here.”

Wedemeyer served as interim police chief through Texas First Group at an hourly contracted rate. Texas First Group helps place experienced individuals in interim municipal positions across the state.
