Drivers making their way on Houston's outer loop will have to shell out a few more cents for each toll at the start of the New Year.
The Texas Department of Transportation has announced toll increases ranging from 1 to 4 cents for two-axle vehicles along the Grand Parkway, also known as Hwy. 99. The rate varies by segment, entrance and exit ramp, and toll plaza.
Ramps at Franz Road: an increase of 1 cent to 43 cents;
Ramps at Morton Road: an increase of 1 cent to 53 cents;
Ramps at Clay Road: an increase of 2 cents to 75 cents;
Main-lane plaza south of FM 529: an increase of 4 cents to $1.94;
Ramps at FM 529: an increase of 2 cents to 62 cents;
Main-lane plaza south of Hwy. 290: an increase of 3 cents to $1.01;
Segment D—the Colonial Parkway from I-10 to Hwy. 59: an increase of 1 cent to 43 cents.
Vehicles with three axels—vehicles hauling a trailer—will see an increase ranging from 2 to 8 cents.
