Some Pflugerville Hawaiian Falls Water and Adventure Park employees have been seasonally furloughed, according to a company statement. Some full-time employees were affected by the furloughs as well, according to company spokesman David Alvey.

A statement from Hawaiian Falls President David Busch said the company always adjusts staff seasonally. The statement did not say why some full-time employees were affected by the furloughs or how many full-time employees were affected.

The statement said the park will be operating on weekends throughout December, and it will operate for special events such as company outings or private events through the months of January and February. Normal operations will resume in March dependent on weather, the statement said.

"In the meantime, it is business as usual with annual job fairs scheduled for February and off-season maintenance and construction projects underway," the statement read.
