All nine schools in Eanes ISD were ranked in the top 30 in the state, and five schools were ranked in the top 100 in the nation according to research website niche.com. The district as a whole was ranked first in the state and 21st in the nation, according to the site.



Westlake High School and Hill Country Middle School were both ranked No. 1 in the state, and WHS was seventh nationally. West Ridge Middle School was ranked second in the state, right behind HCMS, according to the November rankings.



Niche uses opinions from students and parents, statistical evidence and student outcomes to create rankings for each school, according to its website.



At the high school level Niche measures and rates academics, administration and policies, educational outcomes, resources and facilities, sports and fitness, teachers, student culture and diversity, health and safety, food and extracurricular activities.



Middle schools and elementary schools are graded on academics, the overall experience of a district, teachers, and student culture and diversity.
