Unofficial election results for the open Round Rock ISD trustee seats reveal incumbents Diane Cox, Terri Romere and Paul Tisch will remain on the board.
Place 1
Nikki Gonzales took the Place 1 seat, capturing 61 percent of the vote over incumbent Claudio Cruz, who has occupied the seat since November 2013.
Place 3
Diane Cox, current Place 3 trustee, garnered 60 percent of the vote over opponent Bryan Black.
Place 4
Incumbent Terri Romere, Place 4, ran unopposed and will remain in her current seat.
Place 6
Paul J. Tisch, current trustee, ran against Tony Pitts and captures 62 percent of the vote for Place 6.
Place 5
Suzi David took the Place 5 seat with 38 percent of the vote. Paul K. Emerson earned 32 percent of votes and Allen McKee captured 29 percent. Board President Catherine Hanna vacated the Place 5 seat and did not run for re-election. Hanna has been on the board since 2010.
According to RRISD, there will be no runoff race for the Place 5 seat and the position will be finalized after votes are canvassed by the board on Nov. 18.
Newly elected trustees will be sworn in during the Nov. 20 meeting, according to RRISD.
"I want to thank all of our candidates for being proactive in their passion for public schools," said RRISD Superintendent Steve Flores in a statement. "Leaders willing to serve are to be commended for their commitment to support the mission of public education."
All elected trustees will serve four year terms after the November election is finalized. Results are unofficial until canvassed.

Suzi David and Paul K. Emerson are in the lead for the Place 5 seat on the Round Rock ISD board of trustees, according to unofficial early voting results.
In Travis and Williamson counties, David garners 11,292 votes. Emerson follows with 9,568 votes. Allen McKee takes 8,618 votes.
All results are unofficial until canvassed.
Place 1
Nikki Gonzales is likely to take the Place 1 seat, with 18,237 votes in Travis and Williamson counties. Incumbent Claudio Cruz takes 11,701 votes.
Place 3
Incumbent Diane Cox is likely to claim the Place 3 seat with 18,556 votes. Opponent Bryan Black garners 12,272 votes.
Place 6
Incumbent Paul K. Tisch is likely to win the Place 6 seat, with 17,207 votes. Tony A. Pitts garners 10,666 votes, according to unofficial results.
Tisch thanked Pitts for running against him in the race and said they both want what is best for the district."
"I am so honored to be chosen to continue serving the families of Round Rock ISD," Tisch said. " ... This role, and the responsibilities it carries, is a sacred trust. I pledge to work harder than ever to deliver the best possible education to every child in RRISD."

According to early voting results, Paul K. Emerson and Suzi David are leading the race for the Place 5 seat on the Round Rock ISD board of trustees.
David has taken the lead with 5,829 votes in Travis and Williamson counties, followed by Emerson with 5,340 votes.
Suzi David has lived in RRISD since 1989 and said she is running for the board because she values the district's focus on education and wants to serve the community.
Paul K. Emerson, a Round Rock resident of more than 10 years, said school board members should be nonpartisan team players who are able to build strong relationships between the district and the public.
Allen McKee garnered 4,869 votes.
Board President Catherine Hanna currently holds the Place 5 seat. Hanna has served on the board since 2010 and did not run for re-election.
The Round Rock ISD board of trustees comprises seven members that are elected at-large and serve staggered, four-year terms. Elections are held every even year in November.
Nikki Gonzales is winning the Place 1 seat, which has been occupied by trustee Claudio Cruz since November 2013. Gonzales is winning the vote with 9,771 votes in Travis and Williamson counties. Trustee Cruz has 6,453 votes.
Gonzales, a 10-year resident of Round Rock, said she wants to be a trustee because RRISD needs leaders to ensure the standard of excellence in education remains in place.
Current trustee Diane Cox is winning the race for RRISD's Place 3 trustee, with 9,945 votes in Travis and Williamson counties. Opponent Bryan Black has 6,881 votes.
"Early on I said that I was not going to put a lot of money into the campaign and [said I] was going to run on the work I've done [on the Round Rock ISD board]," Cox said. "I'm thrilled that the community understood that, that is important to me."
Cox said she wants to continue her role as a trustee because she is still passionate about providing quality education to students and because her experience on the board can contribute to providing taxpayers with an efficient fiscal management system.
Terri Romere, secretary of the board, is running unopposed. Romere has served on the board since 2010.
Paul J. Tisch, a current trustee, is winning with 9,411 votes in Travis and Williamson counties. Opponent Tony A. Pitts has 5,651 votes.
Incumbent Paul Tisch said he wants to continue serving the district because he sees the positive effects the efforts of the board has on RRISD.
