The Tomball Business and Professional Women organization will host its annual Fall Food Festival on Oct. 21 to raise money to provide scholarships to local women seeking to enhance their education or careers.

"The TBPW's primary mission is to award college scholarship money to female graduating high school seniors," TBPW member Jonetta Barnett said. "Our scholarships are designed to provide a little help with school funding or some continuing education for women who want to advance their career."

To fulfill its mission, the TBPW hosts two fundraisers annually—the Spring Style Show in April and the Fall Food Festival in October—and uses 100 percent of the proceeds from both events for scholarships to be awarded to women in the Tomball community. In May 2014, the organization awarded 15 scholarships totaling $15,000, Barnett said.

The Fall Food Festival, which was established by TBPW in 1995, is a lunch open to the community that features food samplings from the menus of some of Tomball's more popular restaurants.

The food at this year's event will be provided by the following local restaurants: Chef Michael Catering, Cisco's Salsa Co., The Egg & I, Frey's Backyard Cafe, HEB, Jane and John Dough Bakery, Mel's Country Cafe, Nona's Italian Grill, Old Tomball BBQ, Pecos Grill, Pollo Tropical, Ron's Hamburger & Chili and The Whistle Stop Tea Room.

The Fall Food Festival will be from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at Tomball United Methodist Church, 1603 Baker Drive, Tomball. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children. For more information, call 832-453-4924 or visit www.tbpw.org.
