Jo Ann Touchstone began serving as city secretary for the city of Lakeway on Sept. 1.

She was recently employed as Dripping Springs' city secretary.

Touchstone is certified as a municipal clerk through the Texas Municipal Clerks Association, which requires a participant to complete the Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program.

The program requires about 200 hours of home study, exam work and seminars.
