Frisco travelers beware—multiple roads will be closed July 2, 3 and 4 in the Frisco Square area for the city's Fourth of July festivities, according to the city's communications office.

Streets around City Hall will be closed at 5 p.m. and remain closed through July 4.

July 2 road closures

Frisco Square Boulevard will be closed between Church Street and Frisco Street, which includes the plaza in front of City Hall and the Frisco Public Library. Library Street will be closed between Page Street and Frisco Square Boulevard. Most streets approaching City Hall and the library will remain open during business hours, but there will be no entry from the east side. Most parking spaces around the building will be closed, which will require visitors to park in the free parking garage behind the building.

July 3 road closures

The Hotter 'n Firecrackers Firefly Run and Dachshund Races are both scheduled for the night of July 3. The same road closures will be in place as on July 2, with some additions to accommodate the 5K route.

The entire plaza in front of City Hall will be closed, as well as Library Street between Frisco Square Boulevard and Cotton Gin Road. Cotton Gin Road will be closed between Dallas Parkway and Library Street. After 7 p.m., vehicles will not be able access the plaza in front of the library.

Page Street, Library Street and Cotton Gin Road will reopen by 11 p.m. Thursday night, but the full closure of the plaza in front of City Hall and the library will remain through Friday.

July 4 road closures

Coleman Boulevard will be closed starting at 2 p.m. July 4 and remain closed for the rest of the day.

Frisco Street will be closed between Main Street and Technology Drive from about 9:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. because of the fireworks show. After the show northbound Frisco Street will reopen, but southbound Frisco Street will remain closed until about midnight.

Eastbound Main Street and eastbound Cotton Gin Road between Legacy Drive and Dallas Parkway will be closed at 10 p.m. in order to move traffic from Toyota Stadium and Frisco Square after the events.

The southbound exit ramp from the Dallas North Tollway to Cotton Gin Road will also be closed at 10 p.m., but will reopen by midnight.
