On April 25, Eanes ISD released results showing fifth- and eighth-graders in the district performed above state standards on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, tests in both the math and reading sections.

The students for both grade levels scored 92 percent or higher in the Met Standard level and more than doubled the state average in the Advanced level testing for both the math and reading sections.

Approximately 60 percent of fifth-graders in EISD are advanced to sixth-grade math; therefore their scores are not reflected in the fifth-grade math results.
