Firehouse Subs donates $11,000 for trailer and children's fire hats

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation donated more than $11,000 worth of public education equipment to Lake Travis Fire Rescue on April 30.

The equipment includes a public education trailer and 14 cases of children's fire hats. The trailer will assist the department's Safety Squad in transporting sound equipment, sets and supplies to and from elementary schools to provide fire safety educational programs.

Firehouse Subs, created in 2005 with the mission of providing funding and equipment to first responders and public safety organizations, has donated $9 million to hometown heroes in 40 states and Puerto Rico, including more than $650,000 in Texas.
