Westwood Residential constructing two separate complexes

One Frisco apartment complex is close to completing its first phase, and a second is just beginning construction.

Westwood Residential is constructing The Emerson at Frisco Market Square near the northwest corner of Main Street and the Dallas North Tollway and has broken ground on the Villas at Chapel Creek on the northwest corner of Lebanon Road and Parkwood Boulevard.

The first units of Phase 1 of the Emerson will be ready for residents sometime in June, according to Tim Gottsacker, the managing partner for Silver Oak Multifamily Capital, the company that owns The Emerson.

The Emerson, at 4800 Printers Way, is a wrap-style complex where the apartments are constructed around a parking garage.

Gottsacker said the leasing office will be open toward the end of May.

The Villas at Chapel Creek are expected to be complete in the next 10 to 12 months, said Jeff Lindsey, senior vice president of Westwood Residential.

The 304-unit complex will consist of mostly one-bedroom apartments, but will also have two- and three-bedroom units as well as townhomes with attached garages.

Westwood Residential has built two other apartment communities in Frisco.

Westwood projects include the first and second phases of Cool Springs at Frisco Bridges on Parkwood Boulevard. The second, 290-unit phase was recently completed, Lindsey said.

Westwood Residential also built the Old Hickory Square apartments at Preston Road and Hickory Street.
