Lake Travis ISD earned a Gold Leadership Circle Award from the Texas State Comptroller's office for the district's financial transparency in January.

The award, which is based on 20 criteria, recognizes local governmental bodies that are opening their financial records to the public, providing clear and consistent spending data and sharing information in a user-friendly format.

"In an age of strict public accountability, we are pleased to know that our ongoing efforts of financial transparency are validated by the Office of the Texas Comptroller," LTISD Superintendent Brad Lancaster said in a news release.
