California-based restaurant chain Carl's Jr. plans to open a Kyle location near the Village at Kyle shopping center this summer.

"Yes, we are excited to continue our growth in Texas, and yes, we are opening a store in Kyle this summer," a restaurant spokesperson said in an email.

The fast-food chain's menu features such offerings as the Six Dollar Burger and CrissCut fries, which patrons will be able to order in a double drive-through, said Julie Price McLean, a spokeswoman for the restaurant.

Anyone interested in applying for crew member or shift leaders positions at the restaurant may apply at www.carlsjr.com/jobs.

The approximately 3,000-square-foot building will be in the lot just north of Kyle Parkway on I-35, according to a city of Kyle memorandum.
