Icy road conditions anticipated Feb. 7 prompted several government agencies, schools and businesses to close or delay opening Friday.
Many calls were made the evening of Feb. 6 in anticipation of wet weather combined with sub-freezing temperatures.
The following districts, schools and offices reported closures, according to their respective websites:
- Austin Community College
- Austin ISD — scheduled activities and operations will resume after 4:45 p.m.
- Bastrop ISD
- City of Pflugerville
- Dripping Springs ISD
- Georgetown ISD
- Hays CISD
- Harmony Public Schools Austin
- IDEA Allan Academy and College Prep
- Lake Travis ISD
- Leander ISD
- Pflugerville ISD
- Round Rock ISD
- St. Edward's University
- Texas School for the Deaf
- Williamson County
Several organizations such as The University of Texas, Texas State University Round Rock, the City of Austin, Travis County and the Texas Education Agency plan to open at noon.
The City of Hutto office and departments will open at 10 a.m.
