Hutto City Manager Karen Daly

The city of Hutto announced the hire of Karen Daly as its new city manager Jan. 27.

Daly is currently the assistant city manager for the city of Sugarland and will take the reins in Hutto on March 3. Her 25 years of experience include jobs as city manager of Greenville, Texas; assistant city manager in Longview, Texas; and assistant to the city manager in Arlington, Texas.

"I'm honored to have been selected by the Hutto mayor and city council," Daly said in a release. "The council's professionalism and commitment to make Hutto a quality community makes this a very enviable place to be city manager. I'm looking forward to getting to know the community and making Hutto our home."

The Hutto city manager position was previously held by David Mitchell, who now serves as city manager in Harker Heights, Texas.
