The highway used by thousands of commuters to Dallas from Northeast Tarrant County has two more years of work ahead, but Phase I of the new Texpress toll lanes from Preston Road to Greenville Avenue in Dallas is finished and in operation. Use of a toll tag affords discounts on managed toll lanes.

Happening in 2014: Webb Chapel Road under I-635 will be closed until fall, according to the LBJ Express public information office blog. Streets around that intersection will have message boards warning motorists to detour. Notifications were sent out to area businesses. The road is being closed so crews can build managed toll lanes on that stretch.
